Sara Larsen

Program Manager, Water and Data Exchange (WaDE), Western States Water Council

Sara is a Senior Program Manager at the Western States Water Council. She works with state water administrators appointed by 18 western governors to address water data and science-related challenges in the West. Sara also oversees the Water Data Exchange (WaDE) Program for the Western States Water Council (WSWC), a data-sharing platform initiated by the WSWC, its member states, and the Western Federal Agency Support Team (WestFAST) in support of state-curated “open data” exchange and publication. Before joining the WSWC, Sara was a research engineer at Los Alamos National Laboratory in the Decision Applications Division, where she modeled and analyzed cascading impacts of hazards on energy/water infrastructure. Ms. Larsen received her MS in Civil Engineering with a Water Resources emphasis and a B.S. in Geography/GIS from the University of Utah.
