Working Groups

Working Groups power the Internet of Water Coalition — from shaping technology to connecting cross-sector expertise.

The Internet of Water Coalition draws strength from a vibrant community of water data experts. Working Groups drive the Internet of Water vision forward. They collaborate across boundaries geographic, data, and sectorto offer real-world insights, user testing, feedback, and scholarship that advances a connected water data future

Become a part of the IoW Coalition.

Each group welcomes volunteers to join, typically meeting quarterly. Whether you’re a seasoned expert or new to the field, there’s a place for you.

Geoconnex Governance

The Geoconnex Governance Working Group develops Geoconnex.us, the open-source technology at the heart of the Internet of Water mission. By creating and adopting guidelines for metadata governance and publishing, this group stewards our searchable water data infrastructure to fully realize the Geoconnex vision. Membership includes data users, providers, and architects, and is open to current and prospective Coalition members.
