Sam Hermitte
Assistant Deputy Executive Administrator of Water Science and Conservation, Texas Water Development Board
Sam Marie Hermitte serves as the Assistant Deputy Executive Administrator of Water Science & Conservation for the Texas Water Development Board. In her role, she works to ensure that the import of the technical research and information produced by staff is clearly and intelligibly communicated to stakeholders at all levels across the state. Most recently, doing so has taken the form of overseeing the development of TexasFlood.org and advancing Texas water data initiatives both locally and nationally. Sam earned her B.A. in Public Policy Analysis from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a Master of Public Affairs with a Portfolio in Integrated Watershed Studies from the LBJ School of Public Affairs at the University of Texas at Austin. When not working to advance and improve all things water science, policy, conservation, data, and Texas, she enjoys spending time with her family on hiking trails and in swimming holes around the state and beyond.
