California’s State Water Resources Control Board are improving their data management, aligning with recommendations from the Internet of Water report, to better engage the public on critical water issues.
The Nicholas Institute for Environmental Policy Solutions at Duke University highlighted the Internet of Water in their annual report.
Try to use the internet to find out any information about your water. What is its quality? Where does it come from? Is there a shortage, or a surplus? It’s hard to find. Now imagine a world where those data are readily available for decision-makers.
The Internet of Water report provides a series of recommendations to improve our nation’s data infrastructure in order to sustainably manage our water resources.
