State Agency Peer-to-Peer Network Registration Steps: Short Steps

Step 1: Determine your eligibility. Are you eligible to join the State Agency P2P Network? You must be a current employee of a state, tribal, or local agency. 

  1. If Yes, continue to Step 2 to register.
  2. If not, please sign up for the IoW mailing list and consider participating in IoW webinars (free and open to the public), and viewing the posts on the State Agency P2P Forum (publicly viewable; posting by members only).

Step 2: Register for the P2P State Agency Network. 

Note: Your registered username and password provides single sign-on (SSO) credentials (SSO) to access all State Agency P2P Network member-only features: (1) the Membership Directory and your member Profile and (2) the State Agency P2P Forum.

  1. Register for the P2P State Agency Network. Complete your professional information and check the Affiliation box “I am employed by a state, local, or tribal agency (for State Agency P2P Network registration).”
  2. Receive Email 1: New user account created (no action necessary). Once you register for the P2P State Agency Forum, you will receive an email notification while your account registration is processed and accepted. No action is needed at this stage.
  3. Receive Email 2: State Agency P2P Network account confirmed. If you meet the eligibility requirements, your account will be approved and you will receive a second email once your State Agency P2P Network account is activated. 

You can now use your registered username/email address and password as single sign-on (SSO) credentials to access all State Agency P2P Network member-only features: (1) the Membership Directory and your member profile and (2) the State Agency P2P Forum.

IMPORTANT: You will need to sign into the State Agency P2P Forum to activate your Forum account before you can post (see Step 3). 

Step 3. Sign into the Forum to activate your account. Using the username and password you created during registration, sign into the State Agency P2P Forum

  1. Go to the State Agency P2P Forum homepage and click ‘Login’ in the upper right-hand corner.
  2. Click ‘Internet of Water Peer-to-Peer Network login’ on the State Agency P2P Forum login page.
  3. Sign-in to the Forum using your registered username/email address and password. 
  4. Complete the data collection consent form. The first time you login, you will see a data collection consent form, which is required for forum participation. Check both boxes and click ‘Submit’ to proceed to the Forum. (Hereafter when you login you will proceed directly to the Forum.)
  5. You are now logged in to the Forum, but you need to confirm your email address before you can post on the forum (see Step 3.6). 
  6. Receive Email 3: Forum welcome email. Click on the link in the email to confirm your email address and enable posting. After your first login to the Forum, you will receive a welcome email that asks you to ‘Click here to confirm your email address ?.’ 
  7. Email confirmed and validated. Once you have validated your email address, it should open a confirmation page on the Forum website that displays ‘Email Confirmed’ in a green box. You can now post on the Forum and customize your profile!
